I think those look pretty darn good. They look realistic, which to me is how a good mini should look.

I've always enjoyed video games featuring Battlemechs, but have found that I like the designs of Reaper's CAV 'Mechs over the look of the Battletech universe figures.

The thing that Battletech has going for it is a richer back story and classic designs that are instantly recognizable. I guess you'd call it a strong brand identity or something.

Nice mechs. I just got back into the 'Tech universe thanks to the free MW4: Mercs downloads that are available now. One of my favorite games, plus tons of new mechs and weapons? Yes please!

Hey chris! Thanks for the reply, and yah I enjoy my mechs to look like giant combat robots and should look beat up appropriatly.

As far as CAV, they are rescaling those figures down to Battletechs scale, and should have them released again some time soon.

And thanks Max! Been playing BT off and on for several years now, slowly working on getting my stuff painted now if they will only release the new BT game

I hadn't heard about the changes to the CAV line, but I haven't had my finger on the pulse of that line for a long time. I bought the bulk of my collection a couple of years ago and almost immediately back-burnered it for some other shiny new thing. I think the confusion over the rules versions and Reaper's support of the line really confused a lot of potential players.
